Fifty States of Wine

Wine is made in every state in America!
Join Wine Consultant and Author, Susan L. Richards as she explores the Fifty States of Wine through their history, wineries, vineyards, notable families and characters, hybrid grapes, and unique wine styles.

"I became interested in wine from untraditional wine regions of the USA at the same time that I began to author a series of articles about the production of wine in every state. With each state I researched and wrote about (alphabetically), I dove deeper into hybrid grapes and learned they could produce delicious still and sparkling wines. I ordered wine from across the states and surprised my friends during blind tastings. After they had enjoyed a taste, I would reveal where a wine was from and the grape that produced it.

I have visited wineries in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont to sample their diverse assortments of wines. And I plan to visit many more. Read along with me as I taste my way across the Fifty States of Wine."
